Orff Center Munich
The Orff Center Munich is an institution of the Free State of Bavaria and was opened in 1990. As a state institute for research and documentation, its mission is »to promote a lively examination of the life and work of the composer Carl Orff and to give new impetus to scientific research into his work« (Ordinance of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Art of August 18, 1988).

The Orff Center Munich cooperates closely with the Carl Orff Foundation as the owner of the composer's estate as well as with the Bavarian State Library and other scientific and cultural institutions worldwide.
