Use

The archive and library of the Orff Centre Munich are open to the public. The collections and holdings serve primarily scholarly purposes, but are open within the framework of the regulations for use not only to pupils, students, scholars and journalists as well as musicians, music teachers and theatre people, but also to all other persons interested in Carl Orff and his work.

The use of the archive and library is free of charge. Please make an informal appointment in good time by telephone or e-mail with a brief explanation of your research interests.

All holdings may only be used within the premises of the Orff Centre Munich. It is not possible to borrow items from outside. It may not be possible to present individual archive items if personal rights and data protection regulations, legal protection periods or the state of preservation do not permit their presentation.

The unauthorised use of electronic copying devices (scanners, scanner pens, digital cameras, mobile phones with cameras, notebook cameras, etc.) is not permitted! Any production of scans, photos, copies or other reproductions of digital or analogue archive or library materials requires the explicit permission of the Orff Centre Munich. The transfer of authorised reproductions to third parties or their use for a purpose other than that stated in the request for use is only permitted with the written consent of the Institute.

The qualified staff of the Orff Centre Munich will be happy to provide advice and assistance at any time.

In case of violation of the terms of use, both the Orff Centre Munich and the Carl Orff Foundation reserve the right to take appropriate legal action.
